Ever since the Haiti earthquake, we have been brainstorming ways we can minister to others better.  We have chosen the verse Acts 1:8 "you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses to Jurusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the whole world" (which Pope Benedict set as a theme verse for World Youth Day) as our inspiration to be witnesses through action.  Here are the first steps:

We how are selling Ale-8-1s at youth meetings for $1.  (proceeds go to Haiti.)

  Cord Rosaries $1 (proceeds go to Gasper River Catholic Retreat Center). 

"Sister Youth Group" in Jamaica.  As an act of solidarity, we are setting up a sister youth group in Mandeville, Jamaica to be talk to, pray with, and send videos back and forth.
