Our thoughts and prayers are

with the people of Haiti.

That being said, we at Our Lady of Lourdes Youth Program have taken this tragedy as an opportunity to step up our efforts to minister beyond our church walls.  We have chosen the verse Acts 1:8 "you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses to Jurusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the whole world" (which Pope Benedict set as a theme verse for World Youth Day) as our inspiration to be witnesses through action.  At our meeting on January 24th, we brainstormed ways to make this happen.  See the "Sunday Night" page for more info...
